Governing Body

The Center is under the direction of a Facility Board composed of one commissioner from each of the Five (5) participating counties. The board has signed a Joint Powers Agreement authorizing the operation of the center. They are responsible for hiring an executive director. The executive director oversees the day-to-day operations of the Center including; securing financing, fiscal budget, management of the detention center including employee’s disciplinary action, hiring and termination of employees. The facility Board and the executive director meet at the pleasure of the Facility Board.
